The need to provide an effective air service within Wales has been recognised for a considerable time, so far without a solution. With road and rail journeys between South and North Wales taking around 4 or 5 hours the ability to make the journey in 40 minutes by air makes air travel the obvious choice.

Whereas this issue is receiving active consideration by the Welsh Assembly Government and detailed research has been undertaken, the underlying issue persists in that the predicted traffic between West, North and South Wales is insufficient to justify the cost of the infrastructure needed to support scheduled services at a price affordable by the travelling public.

DragonFly 's contribution is to provide a tailor-made service to those who have business in the North, South or West of the Principality, and whose time may be more far profitably expended on actual business matters than in lengthy and tedious journeys by road.

DragonFly is able to fly from Cardiff to either Valley (Anglesey) or Caernarfon in a mere 40 minutes!

Valley is an all weather RAF airfield at which DragonFly has MOD permission to land, whilst Caernarfon is accessible in favourable weather conditions. Both airfields are within 30 minutes drive of Bangor.

For groups of individuals travelling North or South, DragonFly is the obvious answer, giving users the maximum time to conduct their business, and enabling a return journey to be made the same day with ease, avoiding in many cases the cost of overnight accommodation.

Other airfields in ways are also open to DragonFly , thanks to the aircraft's excellent short-field landing and take-off capabilities. These airfields are shown on the map with estimated flying times from Cardiff set out in the accompanying table.

It is of course always possible for DragonFly to position to other airfields in Wales for clients who then wish to fly to destinations in other parts of the UK or in Europe.
